Every ten years a great man…
Ten or
thirteen works to define a century? This is the question
I thought it was most urgent to give an answer to. I
decided to choose prime numbers and a kind of number
mysticism, which could help in this game of the best.
I assembled
my selection requesting that each work be represented
with a postcard, coupled to another postcard. I also
wanted that these pair of images on "tema celeste"
be reproduced by Xerox copies, so that the image would
be flattened. This choice allows me to define the artists
by analogy with a specific place. This procedure contradicts
the ordinary opinion, points out a few names but, in
so doing, also underscores some artistic moments…
