Logika Japan System for issuing cards in real time
A stir in US monopolised market

In November of 1997, Logika Comp (with its headquarters in Milan), an Italian manufacturer of devices for issuing plastic cards, inaugurated Logika Japan – Japan Representative Office (President Y. Kimura). Its automatic card issuing system created a stir in US monopolised Japanese market with coming age of IC card/Electronic money. Logika’s sales in Japan have already exceeded 400 millions yen. The Japanese office will be incorporated at the first half of 1999.
Logika’s automatic issuing system greatly reduce the data receiving time because it makes online processing of the database (DB) on Host Computer without magnetic tape (MT).
Improvement of security is characteristic of this system as no one intervene during the processing.
Logika also intends to sell modular-typed high-speed compact terminals as new products witch responds to IC cards. Double side print function is added to the terminal.
Logika already finished development for system which can issue cards around the clock in real time, respond to domestic/international cards with 120 characters and issue up to five different cards adapting them to the information technology system used by users.
The system will soon be in practical use as new age machine.
With these new systems as weapons, Logika positively makes sales promotion toward financial field’s branch offices and in-store branches which eager to increase the unmanned store. It aims at 1.000 million yen sales a year.
