Credit card/ACOM makes instant issuing for 500 unmanned units from April 26th

On April 20Th, ACOM announced the issuance of Credit card, “ACOM MasterCard” from April 26th.
It will install card issuing systems next to about 500 of unmanned contract machines all over Japan and make instant issuing within this year.
It will be not only the first credit card issuance in the Consumer Credit Field, but also the first issuing by unmanned system. It takes at least one week to issue credit card at present.
According to Public Relations Section of ACOM, it will be the first time in the world to make instant & dispensed issuance with unmanned system.
ACOM aims to issue 0.45 million cards for the first year.
The first machine to make instant issuance will be available in MAY.
It will take about 30 – 40 minutes from application to issuance unmanned machine, making the most of the screening know-how ACOM acquired through its experience as a consumer credit company.
It will receive applications for the card at branches and issue after 4 or 5 days until then.
Users of ACOM Master Card can choose the way to refer detailed statements from the following alternatives; one is mailing papers, and the other it to confirm through the display of ACOM’s ATM (automatic teller machine) of unmanned machine.
Concerning the terms of payment, it adopted a system that users can select them according to the amount of the first payment automatically, lump payment or revolving payment.
Moreover, it provides “Shopping protection”, an insurance of purchased goods in case of burglary or damage with half a million yen monthly as top limit.
