Patricia Correia Gallery was established in 1991 in Venice, California, and in 1995 was invited to partecipate at the Bergamot Station Art Center in Santa Monica where the gallery currently resides. The gallery is committed to providing a forum for contemporary artists to reach the public, and make a difference through the ideas generated from fine art. Trained as a fine artist herself, Ms. Correia spent fifteen years marketing art and co-founding Correia Art Glass and Steven V. Correia Crystal. She saw clearly during this time the power of art to raise awareness. It was then that she expanded her focus to include contemporary fine art in all media.

The gallery currently represents 15 artists, emerging, mid-career and established and has artwork available from an additional 10 – 15 guest artists. This group mainly includes artists based in Los Angeles and the West Coast. The decision to represent the art of this region resulted from Ms. Correia’s dedication to the fact that Los Angeles is home to a serious community of fine artists.
Patricia Correia Gallery’s vision is to show the most important artwork being created today. In its choice of artwork to exhibit, the gallery responds to innovative, well-conceived and mature creative talent, regardless of the artist’s chosen medium. While the gallery has chosen not to espouse any single style or movement – no “ism” – the focus is on pushing the inherent demands of a chosen medium to the limit. The common denominator among all of the artists represented by the gallery is the exploration of his/her medium; to achieve that rare moment of synthesis between material and ides.
It is the gallery’s belief that the visual arts impact the quality of one’s environment and lifestyle, elevating the human spirit.
